Course DescriptionMedia Arts (period 4) - This class my be used to satisfy the Art requirement for graduation. Media Arts is an entry level course in computer graphics. It is designed to help students develop knowledge and understanding of the esthetic elements and principles of art in a setting that utilizes the computer as a creative tool. Students will be trained on the latest Apple Macintosh desktop. Project examples include but are not limited to: Logo Design, Digital Painting, Digital Photography, Short Digital Films, and Animation. Software used: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Garage Band, iMovie and Flash. Media Arts: Project 2 for the week of October 18, 2010: • Elements of Art Booklet Due Date: 11/01/10 Advertising Design (period 5) - This class my be used to satisfy the Art requirement for graduation. Advertising Design covers the development of advertising, it's function, and the production process involved. The course is designed to help students acquire the esthetic principles, skills and computer literacy involved in commercial advertising. Students will be trained on the latest Apple Macintosh desktop. Project examples include but are not limited to: Logo Design, Package Design, Ad Layout, Short Digital Films, and Animation.
